"Australian town changes name to Speedkills"
Summary: A town in Victoria, Australia called Speed, has only 45 residents. However, those residents decided to change the town's name to Speedkills for the month of March to promote safe driving. Each year hundreds of people die in car accidents on Australian roads, and in 2010 deaths on rural roads increased by about 25%. Even a resident of Speed, whose name is Phil Down, hopes that the town's new monthly name will encourage drivers to slow down on country roads. Down is even changing his name to Phil Slow Down for the month.

Response: I think it is very, very creative of that town to change their name to Speedkills. Hopefully, it will get drivers to make smart choices instead of speeding. Innocent lives are lost to speeding every year, and it is extremely unfortunate. I also think it's great of Speed to take the initiative and maybe it will inspire others to do the same thing.
